Chescobus has three routes in Chester County: SCCOOT, which travels from Oxford to Kennett Square, with limited service to West Chester; Coatesville Link, which travels from Coatesville to Parkesburg; and Evening LINK, which operates evenings from Coatesville to Exton Square Mall.  State funding for Chescobus is provided by PennDOT and the majority of the local match from the Chester County Commissioners as well as municipal support.

3/30/20: Evening LINK service (both weekday and Saturday) will be suspended indefinitely until further notice.


3/27/20:To adhere to Governor Wolf guidance to “stay at home” and temporary suspend activities that are not necessary to sustain or protect life, Chescobus has announced the temporary reduction of service and suspension of fare box collection.


Community members are strongly encouraged to ride the bus for essential trips only. Prior to boarding the bus, the driver has the right to ask the passenger of their destination in order to be compliant to guidance.


As the situation regarding Coronavirus (COVID-19) continues to change daily, we continue to uphold the safety and security of our passengers and employees as one of our highest values. We are taking numerous steps in accordance to the Governor’s Office and PennDOT to reduce the spread of the virus.


Free Fares: During the period of guidance, beginning March 30 and until further notice, Chescobus routes Link and SCCOOT will suspend the collection of fares to limit passenger and driver interaction.


Route Reductions: Due to lower demand of the Evening Link, we eliminated the service on March 18. While our service is still running, we urge you to follow the directions of Governor’s orders and not travel unless absolutely necessary. Be advised SEPTA has reduced all transit service: .


Customer Service: The Transportation Management Association of Chester County is closed and staff are working remotely. However, in calling TMACC when prompted press 2 to reach Krapf Dispatch service for information about the bus. We encourage you to visit to stay up to date on our service.


Additional Precautions: All vehicles are being sanitized and disinfected with protocols as recommended by the CDC.

  •  Social distancing includes on the bus.

  •  Wash your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds or use hand sanitizer if soap and water are not available.

  •  Cover any coughs or sneezes with your elbow, not your hands.

  •  Clean surfaces frequently.

  •  If you are sick, stay home until you are feeling better.


Bus passes and tickets can be used to travel on TMACC buses within Chester County.

TMACC operates two bus lines that serve parts of Chester County not covered by the regional transit agency, SEPTA.


The Coatesville Link serves the Coatesville, South Coatesville, and Parkesburg areas, with evening service between Coatesville, Thorndale, Downingtown, and Exton.


The SCCOOT route serves southern Chester County, including Oxford, West Grove, Avondale, Kennett Square and West Chester.
