CHESCOBUS

Chescobus has three routes in Chester County: SCCOOT, which travels from Oxford to Kennett Square, with limited service to West Chester; Coatesville Link, which travels from Coatesville to Parkesburg; and Evening LINK, which operates evenings from Coatesville to Exton Square Mall.  State funding for Chescobus is provided by PennDOT and the majority of the local match from the Chester County Commissioners as well as municipal support.

BUS PASSES & TICKETS

Bus passes and tickets can be used to travel on TMACC buses within Chester County.

TMACC operates two bus lines that serve parts of Chester County not covered by the regional transit agency, SEPTA.

 

The Coatesville Link serves the Coatesville, South Coatesville, and Parkesburg areas, with evening service between Coatesville, Thorndale, Downingtown, and Exton.

 

The SCCOOT route serves southern Chester County, including Oxford, West Grove, Avondale, Kennett Square and West Chester.

SCCOOT

SCCOOT is a bus service that travels from Oxford to West Chester, Monday through Friday.  These routes are designed to connect you to shopping, entertainment, medical appointments, school and more.  Funding for SCCOOT is provided by through PennDOT's ACT 89 program with match funding primarily from the Chester County Commissioners with support from Kennett Township, Penn Township, Oxford Borough and the Avon Grove Lions.  

  • SCCOOT connects to SEPTA Route 92, SEPTA Route 104 and Krapf's "A" Bus at the West Chester Transportation Center. 

  • Schedules and fares for SCCOOT can be found below.

  • West Chester Transportation Center to Walmart in Kennett Square is a One Zone ride; southbound beyond Walmart in Kennett Square is a 2 Zone ride. All travel between the Shoppes at Longwood Village and Oxford is One Zone.

  • To receive a hard copy of a schedule, ask your bus driver or contact TMACC at 610-993-0911 to have one mailed to you.

  • For additional information regarding SCCOOT, please contact TMACC at 610-993-0911.  During non-TMACC business hours contact the service provider, Krapf's Coaches, at 610-431-1500.  

  • No service will be provided on New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.  In the event that these holidays fall on a weekend, no service will be available on the recognized day of observance.

       SCCOOT FARES

ON DEMAND STOPS

Pickup at Kendal Crosslands, LCH Jennersville and Luther House are on-demand stops on SCCOOT. To request one of these stops, you must call 610-431-1500 a minimum of 30 minutes ahead of time to schedule pickup. If you wish to go to one of these stops, you must ask the driver to be let off at your desired stop when boarding the vehicle.

COATESVILLE LINK

Coatesville Link is a bus service that travels from Brandywine Hospital to Parkesburg, Monday through Saturday.  These routes are designed to connect you to shopping, entertainment, medical appointments, school and more.  Funding for Coatesville Link is provided by through PennDOT's ACT 89 program with match funding primarily from the Chester County Commissioners with support from Valley Township and East Caln Township.  

  • Coatesville Link connects to Krapf's "A" Bus Line, the Parkesburg Amtrak Station and the Coatesville Amtrak Station.

  • Schedules and fares for Coatesville Link can be found below.

       COATESVILLE LINK FARES

Route "A" BUS

Route "A" Bus is a bus service that travels to Exton Square Mall, West Chester and Coatesville, Monday through Saturday.  These routes are designed to connect you to shopping, entertainment, medical appointments, school and more.   The Transportation Management Association of Chester County (TMACC) are partners on the route, who manage the evening runs after 7:15 PM on weekdays and 6:30 PM on Saturday with Evening Link.  

  • Route "A" Bus connects to Coatesville Link, SEPTA Paoli-Thorndale Train Station, SEPTA Route 92, SEPTA Route 104, SEPTA Route 204, SCCOOT and Amtrak.

     Route "A" BUS FARE

     $2.75 (exact change).

EVENING LINK - Not Currently In Service 

The Evening Link is a bus service that travels from Coatesville to Exton Square Mall, Monday through Saturday beginning at 7:15 PM on the weekdays and 6:40 PM on Saturdays. It covers the same route as Krapf A, but operates in the evening when the "A" Bus cannot. The Evening Link is managed separately by the Transportation Management Association of Chester County (TMACC).  These routes are designed to connect you to shopping, entertainment, and more.

  • Evening Link connects to SEPTA Route 92, SEPTA Route 104, SEPTA Route 204 and the Downingtown Train Station. 

  • Schedules and fares for Evening Link can be found below.  Current Evening Link schedules (effective February 27, 2017) can only be found online at www.chescobus.org.  The Evening Link schedule located in the Krapf's "A" Bus schedule is invalid.

ADA Services

TMACC provides ADA complementary service along its SCCOOT and Coatesville Link public bus routes. Approved riders can be individually picked up/dropped off at locations within 3/4 mile of the regular Link and SCCOOT bus routes. In order to participate in the paratransit program, riders must first apply to the TMACC using the online form below or by calling the TMACC at 610-993-0911. Once an application is received, it can then be reviewed for eligibility to participate in the program.

Eligibility for this program is based on disability as defined by the Americans with Disability Act (ADA). According to the ADA, "Disability means, with respect to an individual, a physical or mental impairment that substantially limits one or more of the major life activities of such individual; a record of such an impairment; or being regarded as having such an impairment". "...a major life activity means functions such as caring for one's self, performing manual tasks, walking, seeing, hearing, speaking, breathing, learning, and work."

Days and hours of service mirror regular SCCOOT and Coatesville LINK bus routes. (not commuter, express or limited-hour service). Service areas (see attached) are located within a three-quarter mile radius of fixed route all-day service:

  • SCCOOT: Service is provided from weekdays between 6:15 a.m. and 6:36 p.m. traveling from Oxford to East Marlborough Township.*

  • Coatesville Link: Service is provided weekdays between 5:50 a.m. and 9:35 p.m. from Parkesburg and Freedom Village, located in West Brandywine Township.*
