Chescobus has two routes in Chester County: SCCOOT, which travels from Oxford to Kennett Square, and the Coatesville Link, which provides service between Coatesville and Parkesburg.  State funding for Chescobus is provided by PennDOT and the majority of the local match from the Chester County Commissioners as well as municipal support.

Bus passes and tickets can be used to travel on TMACC buses within Chester County. Links to purchase bus passes can be found in the route details below.

TMACC operates two bus lines that serve parts of Chester County not covered by the regional transit agency, SEPTA.

The Coatesville Link serves the Coatesville and Parkesburg areas, including service to the Coatesville VA Medical Center, Brandywine Hospital, Walmart (in West Sadsbury) and all points in downtown Coatesville along Lincoln Highway (Route 30).

The SCCOOT route serves southern Chester County, including Oxford, West Grove, Avondale, Kennett Square and West Chester.

The Outfitter is a direct connection bus route that is free for Urban Outfitters employees, and provides limited stop service from downtown Coatesville, straight to the Urban Outfitters Gap, PA facility.

SCCOOT Bus Route Chester County

SCCOOT

Oxford to West Chester, Monday through Friday.

These routes are designed to connect you to shopping, entertainment, medical appointments, school and more. Funding for SCCOOT is provided by through PennDOT’s ACT 89 program with match funding primarily from the Chester County Commissioners with additional support from municipal and community partners.

ROUTE INFORMATION

  • SCCOOT connects to SEPTA Route 92, SEPTA Route 104 and SEPTA Route 135  at the West Chester Transportation Center.
  • Schedules and fares for SCCOOT can be found below.
  • West Chester Transportation Center to Walmart in Kennett Square is a One Zone ride; southbound beyond Walmart in Kennett Square is a 2 Zone ride. All travel between the Shoppes at Longwood Village and Oxford is One Zone.
  • To receive a hard copy of a schedule, ask your bus driver or contact TMACC at 610-993-0911 to have one mailed to you.
  • For additional information regarding SCCOOT, please contact TMACC at 610-993-0911.  During non-TMACC business hours contact the service provider, Krapf’s Coaches, at 610-431-1500.
  • No service will be provided on New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.  In the event that these holidays fall on a weekend, no service will be available on the recognized day of observance.

ON DEMAND STOPS

Pickup at  LCH Jennersville and Luther House are on-demand stops on SCCOOT. To request one of these stops, you must call 610-431-1500 a minimum of 30 minutes ahead of time to schedule pickup. If you wish to go to one of these stops, you must ask the driver to be let off at your desired stop when boarding the vehicle.

The Outfitter Bus Route Chester County, PA

THE OUTFITTER

RIDER ALERT: As of January 31, 2024, The Outfitter bus route is discontinued.

Thank you to all that participated in the pilot project and rode the service. As a pilot project, TMACC appreciated its partnership with PennDOT, URBN, Krapf Transportation, and the Coatesville community to provide the unique employer-based service.

The Outfitter was an employee shuttle and public bus route that connected the City of Coatesville directly to the Urban Outfitters Retail Distribution Center.

Funding for The Outfitter was provided through a PennDOT grant and matching funds from URBN. The Outfitter was managed by the Transportation Management Association of Chester County and operated by Krapf Transportation.

PA Senior Citizen Transit Card

Due to health concerns of our constituents and staff, for the foreseeable future we will not be processing SEPTA Senior Key Card Applications in the office.

​Senior Citizens, age 65 and older, with a valid ID, ride FREE at all times on all ChescoBus Transit Routes (Coatesville Link, SCCOOT), SEPTA Transit Routes (Bus, Trolley, Trackless Trolley, Broad Street/Broad Ridge Spur Line, Market Frankford Line/Norristown High Speed Line). In order to ride public transit at no cost, senior citizens aged 65 and older must have a SEPTA Key Photo ID Card.

​Applicants are required to show at least on form of accepted identification at the time of process. Below are acceptable forms of identification:

  • Baptismal Certificate – Church’s Name & Address
  • Veterans Universal Access Identification Card
