Malvern, PA – Michelle Kichline has been appointed as new Chester County Commissioner by the Chester County Court of Common Pleas Tuesday morning. Kichline replaces Commissioner Ryan Costello, who was elected in November to the 6th Congressional District seat being vacated by outgoing US Representative James Gerlach.
As former township supervisor for Tredyffrin, the Transportation Management Association of Chester County (TMACC) has had the opportunity to work with Kichline on several occasions. Executive Director, P. Timothy Phelps, appreciates her efforts with the township and her dedication to improving Chester County: “Kichline is a great asset for Chester County,” Phelps declared, “TMACC is confident she will deliver as county commissioner and continue to advance the dedicated work of the Commissioners.”
Prior to becoming county commissioner, TMACC elected Kichline to their Board of Directors in November.
Kichline has a distinguished record of public service, having served as Chairman of the Tredyffrin Board of Supervisors, a commissioner for the Delaware River Port Authority, and various other civic and governmental roles. She has also served with distinction as Republican Committee Vice Chairman, which she has vacated in order to serve as county commissioner.
TMACC congratulates Kichline on her achievement in becoming a Chester County Commissioner. TMACC knows she will work with fellow commissioners, Kathi Cozzone and Terence Farrell, on a bipartisan level to improve Chester County, making it a better place to live, work, and play.
