TMACC is non-profit that was created nearly 16 years ago by the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation. The genesis of our organization is based upon Federal Congestion Management and Air Quality (CMAQ) guidelines for Non-Attainment Areas. The Delaware Valley region is such an area.
TMACC’s charter is to serve as liaison between public sector transportation agencies and the private sector on transportation issues affecting the Chester County business community. Chester County is the state’s fastest growing county. We focus on Mobility Management and Sustainability through education, advocacy and special programs. We work closely with the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT), Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority (SEPTA), Chester County Planning Commission and the Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission (DVRPC).
TMACC membership is comprised of over 100 companies from numerous business sectors who share a philosophy of civic and environmental responsibility. Vanguard, QVC, ING, Liberty Property Trust, Siemens, Sanofi-Aventis, Jacobs Engineering, and URS Corp. are representative of our membership. They understand the important role a healthy transportation infrastructure system plays in attracting the best employees and its impact on their corporate profits.
We not only provide public forums on key issues for our members, we also provide consulting services to develop mobility programs to meet their employees needs. We are also retained by SEPTA and PennDOT to execute a variety of mobility alternative programs.
